We have hosted hundreds of special celebrations for both young and old. The Lodge will make your special day or weekend a memorable experience that will please everyone.
Celebrations are a wonderful opportunity for family and friends to gather together and celebrate. We have a huge kitchen, in fact we have two… two of everything when it comes to self-catering. Two kitchens, two microwaves, two BBQ’s and just to be different, we have three ovens and three dishwashers.
We supply all the glassware, platters, cutlery, pots and pans, crockery and every kitchen utensil you can think of. Our kitchen was designed and stocked by a professional chef… bring on MasterChef!
We have a large shade-covered outdoor table on the outside deck to seat 30 guests and our huge purpose-built dining table will make everyone happy.
Arranging a celebration event can be a daunting task, especially if you are the organiser, so planning is essential to ensure the event is an absolute success and that you can sit back and enjoy the occasion.
If you don’t want to do the work, then why not try our Concierge Service (please refer to our Concierge tab) and choose from our range of menu options – cocktail, buffets, BBQs or formal dining. They can customise your catering needs to suit your budget and special dietary requirements to ensure you celebrate in style! Whether its a 7-course degustation or just a good old barbie, they can work their magic!
If your celebration event does not exceed 30 guests in total (staying or day guests at the property), you are welcome to make your own arrangements, however you will require a quote from us for guest accommodation. Additionally, you will be required to pay a $20 per person venue fee for any guests attending your event that are not booked to stay at the property. Please note the maximum number of guests for a self-managed event must not exceed 34 guests.
If the numbers for your event exceed 34 guests (staying or day guests), you are required to use our event management service, Hunter Concierge. They are responsible for managing key services surrounding events at our properties such as catering, marquees, decorations, transfers, port-a-loos, generators, security, portable cool room hire, guest transfers, garbage removal and excess cleaning.
In both cases, it is essential that you are completely transparent at the time of requesting the approval. You must be clear about:
- Potential maximum number of people you plan to have at the event
- The date and time and duration of the event
- Your wish to make any alterations or decorate the house, or to move any furniture items
- Any outside services or equipment you would like to have at the property
We had a wonderful 3 days at the property. All our guest were very happy and excited with the house and grounds. It was great to be able to seat everyone around the tables both inside and out. We had a great time in the pool and spa. Our group ranged from 80 (the birthday) girl to 4 months, the youngest great grandchild, and the was something to do for everyone. We had never been to the Hunter Valley before and this was a great place to base ourselves form the weekend. Would certainly visit again.
