My brand new husband and I could not find any other property across NSW that was such a perfect fit to have our families stay with us for a long weekend away, to join us in saying “I do”. The team at the Lodge and Hunter Concierge were so accommodating and helped us have the most memorable wedding day and weekend of our dreams! We were all blown away by the entire property, the rooms, the space, the variety of activities and all the detail and features that just made the place an absolute stand-out. The brand new decking was gorgeous, perfect for a sunset meal. Highly recommended!
If your celebration event does not exceed 30 guests in total (staying or day guests at the property), you are welcome to make your own arrangements. However, you will require a quote from us for guest accommodation. Additionally, you will be required to pay a $20 per person venue fee for any guests attending your event that are not booked to stay at the property. Please note that the maximum number of guests for a self-managed event must not exceed 30 guests.
If the numbers for your event exceed 30 guests (staying or day guests) you are required to use our event management service, Hunter Concierge . They are responsible for managing many of the aspects of weddings/events at our properties. Their services include catering, marquees, decorations, transfers, port-a-loos, generators, security, portable cool room hire, guest transfers, garbage removal and excess cleaning. Final event approval is at the discretion of the owner of the property. In both cases, it is vital you are completely transparent at the time of requesting the approval, so please be clear about;
- The date and time and duration of the event
- Potential maximum number of people you plan to have at the event
- Your wish to make any alterations or decorate the house or move any furniture items
- Any outside services or equipment you would like to have at the property
- The intended hours of the celebrations/music arrangements
The Tariff – Includes use of the full Estate for 2 nights weekend (Thursday- Friday, Friday-Saturday or Saturday -Sunday
- 11 bedroom accommodation for 32 guests for two nights Including private Studio.
- Parking for up to 20 vehicles (transfers for other guests can be arranged.)
- Full access to the location for photography
- For event up to 60 guests onsite and inclusive of up to 32 house guests for two nights $8000
- For event up to 100 guests onsite and inclusive of up to 32 house guests for 2 nights $10000
- 30% discount for midweek weddings
- Venues available: Barn Conversion or Hire Marquee (Marquee quote and barn conversion on request )
- Maximum Guests on site: 120
- If staying Thursday evening, check out on a Friday is 10am.
- The prices above are subject to change due to tariff increases, public holidays, Christmas, Easter, New Years and concert weekends.
Terms and Conditions
All accommodation terms and conditions apply to the booking including a refundable bond of $2000 and guest registration. All events must conclude by 10.30pm with all guests not staying at the property, off premise by 11.00pm. Any accommodation bookings require the guest to be over the ages of 25.

- Birthdays and Reunions
- Christmas parties
Please note that we do not accept any bucks parties or schoolies celebrations.
As our exclusive events manager, Hunter Concierge will be responsible for the complete coordination of your event. Marquees are available in a variety of sizes, style and design along with furniture and lighting options and are subject to quotes for the most suitable one for your guest numbers and location.
Dependent on guest numbers and the nature of your event you will be required to have a supervisor or security at your event. This is charged on an hourly rate dependent on requirement.
The Hunter Valley Lodge and Retreat do not have parking facilities for large groups; therefore Hunter Concierge will provide transfers including private cars through to coaches, between the event and your accommodation.
Catering and Drink Packages
Allow Hunter Concierge to provide you with the perfect catering for your event. From a casual buffet or BBQ’s to elegant cocktail party or formal sit down extravaganza – Hunter Concierge will cater to your taste and style. Drinks packages are available along with BYO options.
Hunter Concierge is able to provide a number of styling packages suitable to each property and event brief. They have a selection of marquees and stylists available to transform the space for your dream event.
You will be required to brief Hunter Concierge in writing of all particulars of the event including beverages, entertainment, technical requirements, room setups, starting and finishing times (no later than 10.30pm) in connection with your event.
These details are required at least six weeks prior to your event. Guaranteed numbers – final attendance numbers must be provided to Hunter Valley Lodge twenty-one days prior to your event. Any reduction in attendance numbers within twenty-one days prior to your event will be subject to charge at the full contracted amount.
The venues are private houses. All guests are required to observe house rules, trespass, noise and music restrictions and general behaviour, particularly at night. Anyone in your event creating nuisance may be asked to leave the premises immediately and will be liable for any damages caused. Should your event be outside of our terms and conditions we reserve the right to end the event and as all guests to leave.
Where goods or services are supplied from an external supplier additional terms and conditions may apply, such as additional deposits and insurances.
Hunter Concierge acts as an agent for external suppliers, such as Catering, Transport, Photography and Videography, Decorators, Cake Supplier and others; therefore the suppliers hold all responsibility for their services.
